My name is Jana Smith, and I live in Tennessee with my husband. For as long as I can remember, I have been the family proofreader. Errors in spelling and word usage seem to just leap off the page at me. In college my friends lovingly called me "Teach." I decided to take this talent/gift to a new level with a career in proofreading court transcripts. Standard (48 hours and above) $0.50

Rush (24 to 47 hrs. 59 min.) $0.70

Expedited (less than 24 hours) $0.90
All rates are per page up to 25 lines. Transcripts with 26 lines or more will be $0.05 more per page.
PROOFREADING POLICIES

Standard turnaround is considered 48 hours during business days. If you need a job completed over the weekend or holiday, it will incur rush or expedited rates depending on turnaround.

To make things work smoothly for both of us, if your job (especially a rush or expedite) is over 100 pages, contact me ahead of sending it to confirm I can meet your deadline (I usually can!) and to work out sending the job in chunks so we both can work on it at the same time.

Please have the job turn-in ready to avoid missed errors and extra fees for messy work. I reserve the right to charge $0.10 per page extra for transcripts that are not turn-in ready. You will be notified immediately if your job falls into that category.
